Ted Leonard Daughter digs dogs CHAPTER ONE Pretty young Karen Ames got home from school and hurried to her bedroom. Her mother wouldn't be home from work until five o'clock. Karen liked that. With no father to boss her around, it was nice to be totally free of parental guidance from time to time. These were special hours to Karen. Unlike other girls who indulged in sports and other activities after school, Karen liked to be alone with her thoughts. She was a thinking girl.
